Is this OK? 5) I've neer shot a gun before. Do I need a gun licence etc? 6) What do I need to bring to the range? 7) What is the minimum age limit? 8) My friend/s don't want to shoot. Is it OK for them to come along and watch? 9) Is it OK to take photos/video? 10) Can we shoot extra guns at the end of the event? ________________ 1) Do I have to pre-book or can I just turn up? Yes, you do need to pre-book as we need to pre-arrange instructors and book range space for you. Return to top of page 2) How do I pay for the event? Once you have completed the online booking form just call our office and pay the £30 per person deposit (£20 per person for Mini-Markman). When you arrive at the shooting range you will need to pay the balance in US$ (cash or credit card). The deposit forms part of the total payment for the event so therefore is not refundable after the event. If any extra people attend the event they will still need to pay the deposit direct to Top Gun Tours via credit card, plus the balance payment to the shooting range staff before shooting. No refunds are given if less people than booked attend the event. For corporate customers, and those not wishing to handle cash/credit cards on the day it is also possible to pre-pay the balance in full for the event a maximum of 10 days before you shoot. The balance payment will be charged un UK£ and calculated using exchange rates at the time the balance payment is made. Return to top of page 3) What is the address of the range, and what is the best way to get there? We send out map, address and directions once customers have booked with us. If we put the range address on the website we would get a lot of people just turning up at the range without a booking and being disappointed because our events are pre-book only. The range is located in the Winter Park area, about 12 miles North of Orlando International Airport. Depending on traffic it usually takes about 45 minutes from International Drive, and about an hour from Kissimee. Self drive (e.g. hire car) is by far the quickest and most practical way to get to the shooting range as public transport is very limited in the area and not to be recommended (i.e approx two hours and 3-4 changes of public bus, plus walking the last mile! - more info). Taxis are practical but will work out approx. $50-100 each way from International Drive or Kissimee. Return to top of page 4) I'm the only one that wants to shoot. Is this OK? Yes this is fine but it does work out a little more expensive becausee the fixed costs of running for one person are higher. Please see the Try Shooting page for details on prices etc. Return to top of page 5) I've never shot a gun before. Do I need a gun licence etc? For safety reasons all of our shooting events assume zero knowledge or skills with firearms. Our events are designed to give non-shooting customers a really positive introduction to target shooting. Since 2003 over 10,000 Brits have attended Top Gun Tours events at our various locations in Europe and the USA. The vast majority of these people had never shot a gun in their lives. Return to top of page 6) What do I need to bring to the range? All you need to bring is valid photo ID (e.g. passport). The range is indoors so no need for any special outdoor clothing. Eye and ear protection is provided at no additional cost at the range. Return to top of page 7) What is the minimum age limit? As long as there is a parent or guardian present we can accommodate shooters as young as 10 years of age or our Mini-Marksman programme. The normal starting age for the adult event Try Shooting is 14 but if the young person is bigger than average for their age and has had some previous experience in the UK with shooting airguns or shotguns etc we may be able to reduce this limit to 12 years old at the instructors discretion. The person booking the event must be over 18. Return to top of page 8) My friend/s don't want to shoot. Is it OK for them to come along and watch? Yes, it is fine to bring along a couple of spectators. If you are likely to bring more than a couple of spectators please call us first to check. Return to top of page 9) Is it OK to take photos/video? Yes, we are happy for you to take your own photos and video. If you send us the best ones and we use them on our Rogues Gallery we will send you a complimentary Bullet Pen. (Please note that photos must not breach any range safety regulations. If in doubt check with your instructor first). Return to top of page 10) Can we shoot extra guns at the end of the event? The range has an selection of guns available for private rental after your event if you wish to continue shooting. Return to top of page |
